Psychodynamic Counselling in Epsom & Banstead
A Space to Feel Heard and Understood
Many people who consider counselling find themselves struggling with relationship difficulties, past trauma, or emotions that feel difficult to manage. You may be looking for a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. Some feel stuck in repeating patterns or find that anxiety and emotional strain have begun to build up. Others may be exploring experiences linked to neurodivergence, such as masking, burnout, sensory sensitivity, or feeling drained by everyday demands. You do not need a formal diagnosis to bring these experiences into therapy.
Reasons People Come to Counselling
Counselling may also be helpful if you are experiencing difficulties such as:
• Feeling anxious, low, or weighed down by difficult feelings
• Experiencing repeated or painful patterns in relationships
• Feeling disconnected from yourself, from others, or from your sense of purpose in life
• Carrying the impact of loss, change, or unresolved experiences
• Wanting space to think, rather than being rushed towards solutions
You do not need to have everything worked out before starting. We begin wherever you are. I offer open-ended, in-depth counselling that allows time to explore emotions, past experiences, and relationship patterns that may feel difficult to face alone.
How I Work
My approach is calm, attentive, and emotionally focused. I work at a pace that allows trust and understanding to develop, offering a confidential space where thoughts and feelings can be explored openly, including those that may feel confusing or hard to put into words.
What Counselling Can Offer
Over time, counselling can help things begin to feel more manageable. Anxiety may soften, relationships may feel less confusing, and long-standing patterns can begin to make more sense. Rather than feeling caught in the same difficulties, you may begin to feel more grounded and able to respond to your experiences with greater understanding and self-compassion. This work is not about changing who you are, but about developing insight so that life can feel more settled and your choices more your own.
